Welcome to our March eNews

Big ideas, bold conversations, and practical action. From the launch of our latest White Paper to leadership conversations at PCMA Convening APAC, education webinar with D2L and projects supporting tourism, we’re sharing our thinking - helping organisations innovate and grow.

On 25 March we launch the final instalment of our three part white paper series. Innovating for Growth in Associations featuring four case studies, exploring how each have approached innovation as a discipline - scanning, learning, testing, and acting before change has been forced upon them.

World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology share how they protected core revenue streams while selectively innovating to maintain stability. We learn how amalgamating peak bodies within the Australian business events sector to form the Australian Business Events Association has strengthened the industry voice.

The Christian Venues Association took on the Insurance industry in response to an insurance market that was no longer fit for purpose. And we learn how CHOICE looked overseas to benchmark innovative thinking for its one-of- a-kind membership/ subscription model.

With the support of Northern Territory Business Events, the Events in Focus case study explores Innovation and Growth in Neuroscience Nursing set against the The 14th World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN) Quadrennial Congress in Darwin, Northern Territory.

Start your morning with AuSAE in Brisbane

Join us at this month’s Australasian Society of Association Executives (AuSAE) networking breakfast in Brisbane on 25 March.

To commemorate the launch of the final volume of our three part White Paper Series, Innovating for Growth in Associations, Deanna Varga, along with special guests Debra Cerasa, CEO, Amplify Alliance Australia and Brad Horan, CEO, Lucrature, will unpack key themes from real world case studies featured in the series, bringing to life how associations and purpose-driven organisations can balance their purpose with commercial reality - including revenue diversification, risk readiness, and innovation.

Celebrating leading women in the Mayvin Global family

In celebration of International Women's Day, we recognise some of our leading women. From kitchen to markets to now available in retail stores, Vicky and her brood making and selling Jamilly soaps.

Sally and her girls enjoying Australia versus Iran in the AFC Women's Asian Cup qualifier and the St Hilda's School Meta Masters Croissants and Conversation breakfast. Where 150 women and girls spent the morning listening to an inspiring panel of women including Bianca Park MAICD, Dr Kuljit Singh, Nicolle Edwards and Joanne Bergamin. Drawing on their very individual experiences from healthcare, mining, finance and investment, and the Rise Up charity supporting women experiencing domestic violence. This month we also pay special thanks for all the incredible women who work with us, collaborate and inspire us.

Reimagining leadership in times of disruption

'When the landscape shifts, do association leaders retreat, react - or reimagine?'.

Case Study | Member insights shape the future of early learning

Creating a robust evidence base to support board and executive decision-making was the key focus when Community Early Learning Australia (CELA) engaged Mayvin Global to design and deliver its first member survey.

The success of the project has helped strengthen CELA’s understanding of member priorities, and establish a benchmark that the organisation can track over time.

CELA has been working with Mayvin Global since 2019.

"Working with Mayvin Global on our first member survey was an outstanding experience. Their expertise helped us gain valuable feedback from our members, and the in-depth analysis of the results are already shaping our planning and strategy. We’ve engaged Mayvin Global multiple times on various strategic projects, and they continue to deliver targeted and expert advice that we trust and value."
